Floating Away

So while I was digging through some of my old papers I found this drawing just randomly. It was something I drew while I was in high school. I have to say, it was simple, but cute altogether so I felt the need to scan this baby and post it on here.

I am trying my best to improve my skills so i was messing around with some effects and what not. Still, I lack alot of skill when it comes to making things look fancy and acceptable. The background was made by my friend, so it seems I still require assistance from others when it comes to those kind of things. Id rather not rely on others my whole life, so...I guess I will have to practice.

Otherwise, I still rely on those line tools...but, I just choose to use those because it is a real pain to accurately draw straight lines and curved lines without it. I dont always like using those tools because it does seem a bit cheap to me, but when I spend 13 minutes trying to draw a straight line, it does get on my nerves. Drawing a line on paper sure, but on the tablet, it takes me a while to adjust.

Overall, I enjoyed drawing this, and enhancing it with color and stuff. It certainly is one of my more appealing works atm, so I hope you like it.
